In August of 2014, I developed a mile case of shingles. It was mild because I received a shingles shot about 18 months earlier. While I quickly responded to prescribed anti-viral medicine, annoying post-herpetic neuralgia in the form of headaches along the facial nerves that were the center of my shingles lingered. I started acupuncture and herbal remedy treatment at Rochester Acupuncture in August 2015 and the headaches quickly lessened — and disappeared by the start of 2016.
